Deep Freeze Performance

With over 100 patents in instrumentation, Kistler has a reputation for offering sensors that consistently perform under extreme conditions such as liquid helium environments. Other extreme applications have shaped Kistler sensor design criteria as well. These include use of sensor elements reflecting advanced technology, ruggedized construction using selected materials and engineered miniature electronic circuitry.

Systems consisting of charge amplifiers, signal conditioners and engineered cabling are based on innovative engineering creations that marked the beginning of Kistler. With U. S. operations beginning in 1955, Kistler Instrument is now a unit of the Kistler Group based in Switzerland. Kistler Instrument was the first U.S. piezoelectric sensor manufacturer to receive ISO 9001 approval in 1994 and subsequently earned ISO/IEN 17025.

Kistler will highlight 8730A500M8 accelerometers for cryogenic environments:

  • Quartz shear sensing element
  • Low impedance, voltage mode operation
  • 500 g measuring range
  • Low mass, miniature size
  • For testing to -268 °C (please call Kistler)
